You a climber too? My fondness for my fellow displaced Clevelander continues to grow.

I'm sure I've seen or climbed some routes named for Dead songs, but hell if I can think of any right now.

Hah! No, I'm not a climber, although I've been on hiking routes that involved ropes at some point, whereupon I've naturally wondered why the heck I found myself hanging from a rope on a cliff exceedingly far from any hope of rescue. Not to speak of the ground. I do know some serious climbers though. C'mon over and go up Everest, everyone else does.

I live in SEA specifically for the mountains. I've done a good bit of climbing in the area. I haven't done any GD named routes but I do really enjoy visiting Dose Meadows in the Olympic Park.

Pix are from a more alpine climb, Sahale. But I've done some rock climbing on the Liberty Bell and Early Winter Spires.

I broke my shoulder skiing a few years ago, so my climbing days are pretty much through. I stick to backpacking, mostly with my wife, we enjoy our romantic 25 mile walks in the woods.

Those are some amazing pics. And they help to explain the name Little Sense.

Seriously, gorgeous places. I love that part of the country.
